Casinos
by simon on April 1, 2006

Around 40 cities in the UK have put in a application to build Britain's first super casino. The new gambling act allows for one to be built, although many believe one is insufficient as a proper test case and the number should have been more like eight. Included among the bidders are seaside resorts such as Blackpool and Brighton as well as major cities such as London, Manchester and Liverpool.
In addition to various community benefits, a super casino could create 1500 new jobs and bring £50million a year in extra revenue to the host city.
