Slot machines at Gettysburg? Susquehanna Financial Group has set the odds at 99/1. CEO of the Chance Enterprises, David LeVan, who wants the license reckons those odds are cheap. A spokeswoman said, on his behalf, that he'd take the bet if offered, that opinion had been based on a loud minority of people opposed to gambling so near to a site of historical value and that this minority did not represent the views of the average Joe.
The proposed resort would be 3 miles from the site of the historic civil war battle, which is probably 3 miles too close for a lot of people.
