Online Gambling

If this isn't a classic case of hypocrisy in America I'd like to see one that can top it.
It's legal for adult Americans to engage in online gambling, but it is illegal for American banks to allow their facilities, namely credit cards, to be used to fund Internet gambling accounts.
This situation was brought about largely due to the efforts of former Republican/Conservative Senator, Bill Frisp, who did it at the behest of his religious constituents.
OK, so the Feds have made it harder, but not impossible for Americans to gamble online, basically because "morality issues".
One would think therefore that any involvement with online gambling would be disdained, and perhaps even considered illegal in the United States, but no, it isn't, not where money is concerned.

"Microgaming", an American based company, has just released the first of its 2008 online casino slot machine and Blackjack games, for sale to foreign based online casinos.
See, that brings money into America, and that's OK, even though it helps promote gambling, which a tiny minority of Americans believe is immoral.
Here's the Microgaming website.
I still maintain that as soon as the Federal government is assured that it will get its taxes, and when American casinos are ready to provide online gambling, the law will disappear.
