Wow. Talk about the power of one. He maybe the highest paid baseball player in MLB, but alex rodriguez also seems to have the power to shut down New York's poker clubs.

No sooner has the Yankees rounded on A-Rod to curb his poker activities many card rooms have cowered behind closed doors and have voluntarily shut down

There's been a constant hide-and-seek with the law as the NYPD have been shutting down illegals clubs more regularly in recent months, but they claim not to single out Rodriguez - they're just doing their job.

But the clubs think its time to cash in their chips
