Atlantic City Looking Mobile Gambling in their Casinos
Filed in archive Casinos on March 2, 2006

Atlantic City are following Nevada's lead and are looking to introduce wireless gaming to their casinos. As with the Nevada example, its likely the PDA devices would be allowed only within casino public spaces.
The proponents of the new devices argue that Atlantic City must MOVE with technology in order to increase their revenues.
Casino consultant, Michael Pollack said
"Gaming ... is evolving into entertainment, and casino operators with long track records have earned the right to participate in technologies that offer the promise of increasing their returns without compromising integrity,"
However, the move has its detractors, commenting that it could affect employment in the town - and in a bizarre comment, could open the door to internet gambling. I'm not sure how they come to this conclusion - but then again thats no bad thing either
