In a tournament in which most of the well-known pro's got knocked out early on, it was up to unknown Aussie Joseph Hachem to take home the massive $7.5 million prize in this years World Series of Poker.
The final game went on through to the early hours of the morning at Binions in Las Vegas as Hachem beat Baltimore-based Steve Dannenmann with a straight in the final hand - the 232nd hand of the night
The Top Eight - and Prize Money:
1st, Joseph Hachem - $7.5 million.
2nd, Steve Dannenmann - $4,250,000
3rd: Derrick "Tex" Barch - $2,500,000
4th: Aaron Kanter - $2 million
5th: Andy Black - $1,750,000
6th: Scotty Lazar - $1,500,000
7th: Daniel Bergsdorf - $1,300,00
8th: Brad Kondracki - $1,150,00
