Meanwhile the New Zealand born, phone throwing actor and brawler Russell Crowe was successful in his effort to ban the slot machines in an Australian Rugby league club that he owns.

Crowe stated that he wants the place to be "family friendly." No mention was made about the possibility of removing the phones.
