Betfair.com is breaking new ground in Asia by becoming the first gambling company allowed to host a poker tournament in Singapore.
Asia has yet to succumb to the poker bug thats hit the US and Europe in the past few years, but events like these are trying to change that. The $2 million event will feature a mix of local players and poker pros with qualifiers to be played online and at live tournaments.
The Betfair Asian Poker Tournament is also supported by the Singapore Tourist Board – so the publicity obviously works both ways
