With convincing victories in The Kentucky Derby and The preakness under his saddle Big Brown is, rightfully so, being touted as a strong candidate for a Triple Crown win.
Big Brown won The Preakness, handily, but was there a bit of help or luck involved due to the best of the competition, Behindatthebar, scratching?
We'll find out on June 7 when Big Brown competes in The Belmont Stakes and tries to become the first Triple Crown winner since 1978 when Affirmed took it all.
Here's an interesting story and opinion on the state of thoroughbred horse racing by an enthusiast who claims that the only luck in horse racing is bad luck.
