Bodog Buys Australia's Betcorp
Betcorp is the latest sportsbook to bow out of the internet betting industry by selling out its Canadian and Costa Rican operations to Bodog.com

Since the US made online gambling an almost impossible venture by their last minute inclusion of a financial ban in a wholly unrelated Bill in the senate, many online betting companies, who had offered services to US players, have sold out, gone under or taken their product away from the US. This has made the market ripe for those companies still interested in making the most of a starved US player-base - regardless of the current state of play.

Bodog, the Costa Rican based company run by media favourite, Calvin Ayres, have made it clear they're remaining in the US. They paid $11 million for Betcorp - who had taken 85% of their revenue from US players
