The crash in the economy took its toll on gamblers as a whole, all across the world, and only now in western Europe is the industry starting to see a rise once again. It had been down millions of euros over the past 18 months, but now we have seen the results for the past 4 months and it seems that, in the UK at least, gamblers are back online and taking on the bookies.

With a rise of 7% in visitors online, and 16.6 million visitors attending casinos across the country so far this year. Its not oly the rise in the economy that has been credited with the rising number of visitors to land-based casinos (something which has, of course, meant more disposable income is available to the population), but a change in laws and the casinos themselves has seen more come through the doors. More casinos are offering daily, low buy-in poker tournaments, allowing a casual poker player demographic to come to the fore.
