Caesars Sues Lottery Winner for Bouncing Cheque
Filed in archive Gambling General on June 8, 2006
Its not easy being a $315 million Powerball lottery winner these days.
Jack Whittaker won the huge jackpot back in 2002, but is being sued by casino giant Caesars for allegedly bouncing cheques worth $1.5 million to cover gambling debts. Whittaker denies the claim and says its the casino that actually owes him money - after agreeing a revenue percentage from a slot machine he developed as well as gambling credit
The lawsuit was filed in 2005 by Caesars but has only recently become public due to some documents being released during a wrongful-death lawsuit
