Mark Pilarski has posted a nifty little trick to help you work out the commission payable when you bet (and win) on the bank in baccarat. It's so nice and easy I think I'll post it here.
What is this nice method? Simply, divide the winning bet by 2 and lose the zero. So if you bet $60 and win, you win $60 (60/2=30 lose the zero = 3) minus $3 in commission – a total of $57.
The commission is payable because due the nature of the game the bank wins 50.7% of the time. The commission evens things up a little. The proposed EZ Baccarat© method eliminates the need to pay commission reported in a previous post
