Not content with one sportsman admitting his gambling woes this week, basketball player, Charles Barkley has jumped on the confession bandwagon after golfer John Daly admitted losses of over $50 million.
NBA player turned writer turned analyst, Barkley has told an interviewer that he's lost over $10 million gambling – and only in casinos. He doesn't see it as a problem, because, as he says, he "can afford the problem". He just sees it as a bad habit – and a habit that he'll continue to have because he has the money to. He just needs to get it under control
"When I gamble I should be playing $1,000 a hand instead of $20,000 a hand, because if I played for $1,000 a hand I probably could lose $50,000 to $100,000 a hand instead of millions of dollars," Barkley said. "And I've got to reach a happy medium because I've told all of the people in my life that first and foremost it's my money."
