Clooney and Pitt: Partners No More

Clooney and Pitt: Partners No More

Ocean's 11, 12 and 13 co-stars and alleged best buddies have hit a stumbling block in their plans to become the next Steve Wynn.

George Clooney and Brad Pitt were teaming up to build a posh new $3 billion black tie casino complex in Vegas – known as Las Ramblas. Also with them was glitzy property developer, and cindy crawford's husband, Randy Gerber. However, Pitt has backed out of the deal – and its looking more unlikely that the deal will go through

To further the pain, there's rumours that Pitt is currently looking in Palm Springs with plans for a $60 million resort.

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the 25-acre site for Las Ramblas may soon be sold to a new developer.

Yesterday, Clooney acknowledged that the project was in trouble, but planned to make the best of it. "Since our controlling partners wanted to sell the space," he told us, "I'll donate my profits from the sale to the African Debt Relief Project – and I guess I'll find someplace else to gamble."

There was seemingly always a difference of opinion between the 2 budding developers – with Clooney going for old-style tradition, whilst Pitt prefers the modern, hip and trendy. Also – apparantly Pitt was never a monetary investor in the project – merely helping with design.

So no need to worry – they're still best buddies and the love is still there for their latest Ocean's 13 movie project
