Converting Canadian Bingo Halls To Casinos

mapcanada.jpg

There's no denying that casinos, in general, generate a great deal of revenue, and, despite the overall world-wide economic downturn people still gamble.

As in The United States many casinos that are chartered by the country itself, the states, or in Canada, the provinces, pay a large percentage of the "take" to the governing body.

In these hard economic times this revenue is most welcome, so, barring attempts by private groups to stymie the growth of gambling, the majority of license requests are granted.

In Vancouver, Canada a bingo hall has applied for permission to convert the facility to a full service slot machine casino that will offer liquor and still retain bingo.

Of course there is opposition.
