When is a slot machine not a slot machine?
The answer to that question depends on where you live and how the laws on gambling are written and interpreted.
When is bingo not bingo?
See the answer to question number 1.
Since the America is comprised of 50 states we have 50 sets of laws, and because of that, something that is legal in a given place, may be illegal across the street, or right next door, if a state boundary line separates the two places.
Never before has this been as apparent as it is when the issue of gambling arises.
One thing is certain though, by and large Americans love gambling, and there are some people who are simply dead set against gambling, in any form, anywhere, for any reason.
Because many more people want gambling than don't and because gambling is a money maker, for private and government entities, most jurisdictions find a way around stifling ant-gambling laws.
The latest gimmick being rolled out are "Electronic Pull Tab
Machines", which are sort of like slot machines, but aren't, and kind of like Bingo, but not really.
As you can see from the above article no one is really sure of exactly how to categorize these gizmos other than as "gambling devices".
Regardless of whether these devices are considered slot machines, bingo machines, or mousetraps, they allow people in gambling deprived areas to gamble.
