According to Pauly's coverage of the $100,000 buy-in tournament at the Aussie Millions, currently going on at the Crown Casino, "After wearing Erik Seidel down for the better part of an hour, Erick Lindgren finally gets all of Seidel's chips in the middle pre flop. Seidel flips over {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}, while Lindgren is in the lead, as he shows {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. the flop {A-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} brings some hope, but brickage on the turn {6-Diamonds} and river {5-Clubs} ends Seidel's night, and makes Erick Lindgren $1,000,000 richer. Seidel receives $550,000 for his second place finish."
Other notable entrants in the Aussie Millions version of the Big Game include Phil Ivey (5th Place), Tony G (4th), Jeff Lisandro, John Juanda and Gus Hansen. The tournament was an 18-player tournament featuring the biggest names in poker, each of whom bought into the event for $100,000. The top three finishers made the money, with $250,000 for third, $550,000 for second and a cool million for first place.
Now that's an event worthy of the tile Aussie Millions!
