Everest Poker European Cup launched

Last year's tournament brought together 100 players from the continent together to compete for a €50,000 prize while this year's event offers 200 players the chance to win €100,000. This year's EPEC begins on May 1st and carries on through August, culminating in a live holdem poker finale."The success of last year's event blew us away," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker property manager. "We wanted to make sure the 2007 event was bigger and better in every way possible. The best way to do this was by doubling both the poker tournament size and the prize money offered."
The Everest Poker European Cup is a series of live and online qualification tournaments held across the continent. Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Austria and Portugal will be the host countries for the live events. Online qualifiers will also occur for each country on Friday evenings at 19:00GMT.
"We've made it very easy for our players to register through our poker software," May added.
