From Breaking the Bank to Breaking into Poker
Filed in archive Poker on January 9, 2006

What does a ex-banker that broke a bank with over $1.3bn losses do next in life?
In this day and age, there seems to be only one acceptable answer - poker.
Former Barings Bank employer, Nick Leeson, who famously defrauded the London bank in 1995 by betting on interest rate movements using the banks money, has become the celeb-in-residence on celebpoker.com.
According to Celebpoker.com, online poker has become Leeson's main source of income. Last week alone he won $25,000 in a no-limits cash game on the site.
Not bad for a guy who went on the run for a few billion
