Far from being evil, or even simply neutral, gambling is often described in traditional mythology as an embodiment of the workings of the universe itself.


Why gambling is good for you focuses on the presence of gambling throughout human history from the ancient Romans betting with nuts through Scandinavian mythology where the gods played dice

Gambling is seen as a way of pitting the human against unpredictable forces of chance and a way of helping us deal with the natural existance of everyday risktaking.

The article continues to present the board game as an ancient warrior's recreation whilst a basic lottery game makes us learn to only gamble with what we can afford
