The battle to allow American adults to engage in Internet gambling is still raging but there has finally been a definitive judgment made about its legality.
The Department of Justice has made a determination that Internet gambling, in and of itself, is legal for Americans.
Obviously this bodes well for the American online gambling community but there are still obstacles to overcome before online gambling becomes as easy as using a search engine.
Of course the Treasury Department rang in simultaneously with its interpretation of what U.S. banks can and can't do with regards to Americans funding their Internet gambling accounts.
So we still have the "nanny" factor in America, in the form of our government, deciding how adults can and can't spend their money.
I still say that this is nothing more than a stall tactic until the government finds a way to insure it will get its taxes on winnings, after corporate America takes over the majority of Internet gambling sites.
