The government of the popular island nation of Jamaica is finally going to allow the construction of full scale casinos.

This news took me by surprise because I thought there was legalized gambling in this vacation destination.

Now, in addition to the many other attractions that keep visitors coming back, the Jamaican economy will be enhanced by what is certain to be an influx of gamblers who also want to engage in water sports.

These casinos will be operated by the government of Jamaica and the revenues will be used to fund public health, education and security.
