It's generally accepted in the world-wide arena of gambling that Las Vegas is still considered to be the top gun due to its variety and the availability of a multitude of other attractions and entertainment.
However, the upstart Macau casino industry, established mostly with revenue generated in Las Vegas, has surpassed Las Vegas in several key areas, not the least of which is casino "take".
But will it last?
Las Vegas is still the center of the gambling universe when it comes to development talent and experience; and the never ending construction and roll out of new properties is evidence that the champion may be down, but not out.
