Malaysian Blackjack Scam Targets Men

Pretty women have been luring single male tourists into scam blackjack games - losing RM150,000 since January.

The scam is simple. One or two attractive women befriend the men during sightseeing with a promise of a 'good time'

The men are then taken to an apartment where their accomplices are waiting and after drinks and chat are asked to have a game of blackjack. After winning a few rounds, the men would start losing - and losing everything and more.

To pay their debts, the men are then taken to a jewellers to buy jewellery with a credit card - whilst the gang would hold onto the purchase slip

Its not the first time this scam has happened - and its clearly well designed since no victim can ever remember where they were taken - or even much about the couples - but its not the way a tourist wants to remember their vacation
