Nevada Lawmakers gave a green light to a bill that will allow hand-held gambling devices this week - to be used on casino premises.
Proponents of the bill, which will allow gamblers to play wireless blackjack and other casino games, argue this will help in the increasing competition from Indian reservations and internet gaming.
However, before real development progresses, the state's casino regulators are looking to adopt rules to ensure minors can't get hold of the devices
The other unknown is the gambler's demand for the devices. If they can only play on the casino premises, what incentive would there be to not play on the gaming floor
