Slot machine manufacturers recently convened here in Las Vegas to unveil their latest innovations and from the looks of it slot players will soon welcome a new wave of advanced machines.

The "Global Gaming Expo" brought together the preeminent slot machine manufacturers, and the competitive spirit of the event permeated the venue as attendees were treated to some surprisingly unique new slot machines.

Most of the new offerings contain some kind of second tier of play, or "bonus rounds" as they are being called, that give the slot fan a game within a game.

There are also "memory" games similar in concept to video games that allow you to stop playing and return to and pick up where you left off.

These games accumulate points and bonuses and when you've had enough you have the choice of cashing out or "saving" the game. A ticket will be issued that can be inserted into any other similar machine and you can pick up where you left off.
