New York Goes Choo Choo to Atlantic City
It looks as if New York City may finally be sorting out its access to Atlantic.

Its always been a bit of a nightmare travelling from NYC to the centre of East Coast gambling even though its only 2.5 hours away. Sure, you can rent a car - or drive your own if you have one in Manhattan. Then there's the greyhound or other bus service. However - to go by rail, which seemingly should be one of the more obvious ways, has always been a nightmare - the indirect route would usually take you to Philadelphia then change to the Atlantic City line.

Until now.

The New Jersey Transit has approved the Atlantic City Express - which would take 2.5 hours direct from Penn Station. 18 trains would run and the service will start as a 3-year trial. The authority expects to attract over 1000 passengers every weekend.

Atlantic City has some of the better poker rooms in the US - including Vegas. It'll no doubt attract even more New Yorkers as they make their way from the numerous illegal poker rooms that have closed down in the City in the last 2 years.
