No there's no game called Oklahoma Poker, at least as far as I know, but Poker, although only legalized in 2005, has proven to be a boon for Oklahoma's fledgling Native American casino operations.
Poker has been taken the nation by storm over the past few years as I have reported in "Playtime Las Vegas" and now its popularity spreading throughout the country as more states legalize gambling.
In Oklahoma there are already 20 Poker rooms in operation, 6 of which are located in, and operated by the cherokee nation.
In fact today is the first day of the Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge IV at the Cherokee Casino in Catoosa.
Tournaments such as this attract many of the top players and the publicity generated brings in new Poker players.
