Playboy to Launch a Poker Site - Without US Players
Playboy usually provides a lot of opportunities for a right royal flush - but this time its online and with cards.

Following on from announcing an online casino in May, Playboy have now announced they will be launching an online poker site as well - but without US players.

It seems as if companies are getting nervous to do any business in the US since the BetonSports indictment - however, with the majority of online poker players still coming from the US, this could be an expensive decision to make - especially as the current heat in the US for online gambling appears to be targeted at online betting sites with little discussion about online poker.

However, Playboy will be taking all precautions to ensure no US resident will be able to play online
Those precautions include:
- Blocking bets made from Internet protocol addresses in the United States. An IP address is a unique number associated with each device in a computer network.

- Barring the transmission of winnings to Web addresses in this country and to U.S. financial institutions.

- Refusing payment from U.S.-issued credit cards.
