Interpoker.com ran this Extreme Poker event during the current World Series in Vegas. Extreme Poker take poker to a new strange level - offering underwater Texas Hold'em or playing on an ice cap.
Phil Laak was the pro along for the ride - both in poker and as an experienced jumper, as 4 amateurs (actually 3, since one recently turned pro) were each given $2000 of chips in the early morning. The game had to be completed before 11am due to the current heat in Vegas.
Laak wasn't the winner however, as he became the 3rd player to jump. The new professional, Nick "Stoxtrader" Grudzien, finally won the event and came down safely in the plane - but he went up again to claim a free jump
