Bodog.com, an online casino gambling group has reported record levels of interest in gambling on political propositions. Currently they are taking bets on whether or not it will be revealed this year that Vice President Dick Cheney shot Harry Whittington, as well as whether or not Scott McClellan will lose his post as Press Secretary.
Irish bookmakers Paddy Power are taking bets on who will replace Russian leader Vladimir Putin, who will form the next Irish government or win the next British Election. They're also taking bets on the name of the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer (and wannabe Prime Minister) Gordon Brown's new baby. The favourite is Gordon at 6/1, although you might consider the more unlikely Tony (or Cherie) at 100/1.
