Illegal online gambling cuts into Turf business

Its the Preakness Stakes this weekend in the US - part of the US Triple crown and many turf tracks are still turning on online betting sites as 'public enemy number one' and are shouting out their 'illegality' to all those that'll listen

Apparantly they're worried that most US horse bettors don't even realise that betting online is illegal (in America that is)

So whilst the track owners moan about their potential revenue losses, Senator Kyl continues work to further his 1997 'Internet Gambling Prohibition Act'.

Maybe all it'll take is one bright spark in Congress to realise that IF the US seek to legalise online betting as opposed to prohibit it, there are millions of dollars of revenue out there to be made using this new-fangled (!) technology.

But somehow I doubt that
