Race-fixing investigation coming to a head

A new round of bail appearances is about to get underway in the Police investigation into race-fixing in the UK. It has been reported in The Racing Post that the 3-year long investigation is coming to a head.
Those under investigation include: (Jockeys) Kieren Fallon, Robert Winston, Fergal Lynch, Darren Williams and Paul Bradle (Trainers) Alan Berry and Karl Burke (Owner) Miles Rodgers and (farrier
) Steve O'Sullivan. All men deny wrong-doing.
So far the investigation, started in January 2004, concentrates on 93 races run between 2002 and 2004. Costs have so far exceeded £1Million. The police have sent their files to the Crown Prosecution Service. If found guilty all the Jockeys face suspension.
