Rank and William Hill Don't Merge

Big things always seem to happen when you're least expecting it - and even if they don't happen they're still too big to ignore.
It seems like Rank and William Hill - 2 of the biggest gaming names in the world, had talks recently to merge and create a �4 billion giant - except its not happening - the deal was blocked by the Hills board.
And of course, everyone involved is keeping quiet - until the next big deal does or doesn't happen, I guess.
