As Las Vegas continues changing and expanding good things are happening in northern Nevada, where you'll find Reno, "The Biggest Little City In The World".
Reno has fresh mountain air and views and lower temperatures than Las Vegas, which, in the winter of course, allows for skiing and snowboarding.
Station Casinos, a mammoth Las Vegas based casino operator is in the process of strongly considering a venture in Reno that will result in the first truly large casino and hotel.
If you're in the mood for something less than a mega-resort and want to spend some time in an area that is still a bit "Cowboy" check out Reno.
