Report Suggest New Surge in Global Gambling
A new report by Price Waterhouse Coopers is predicting an annual global rise in gambling of 8.8% - from $82 billion in 2005 to $125 billion in 2010

Macau will see the biggest rise of 14%, whilst the US will see a yearly 6.9% raise to almost $75 billion in 2010.

Other estimates included in the report:
  • Nevada will see an annual 8.2% rise - increasing its US market share from 21 to 23%

  • Tribal casinos market share will increase 1% to a total 43%

  • Atlantic City will see a small increase in revenues but a decrease in overall share

Unfortunately, the report somewhat ignores the growth of online gambling, commenting:
While online gambling is experiencing rapid growth, more impor tant is the expansion of legalized casino gambling in some markets

Its interesting that a major report could glance over internet gambling as if it wasn't occurring
