Scratch... and catch the gambling bug?

Singapore has launched scatch cards for the first time. Known as "ScratchIt!" is being run by 'Singapore Pools', the only legal betting outfit in Singapore. Singapore Pools also run the popular lottery product, 4D, as well as Toto and football betting.
As with the lottery products, Singapore Pools will donate proceeds from the sales of the scratchcards to causes such as nature parks and sports. The Scratchit! cards offer prizes from $1sg - $20,000sg and the company is quick to react to any negativity towards the new 'quick win' products ensuring the games wouldn't use images that attract children and no advertising - only promoting them through their outlets and their website
