Gamblers in Ohio, USA are campaigning for slot machines to be allowed to operate in the State's seven racetracks. Each machine can earn in excess of $67,000 per annum of which 30% could go towards the Learn and Earn program with the rest going to other good causes. If given the gohead, each race track would install 3000 machines which signals a potential total of $2Billion a year for the State. Critics have reminded slots advocates that similar schemes promised by the State lottery didn't save public schools.
I wonder why anyone would play the slots at a horse track?
