Super Bowl XLII

I'd be remiss if I didn't report on the biggest American sports event of the year; Sunday's super bowl.

As everyone knows there's more at stake in this game than just the NFL Championship and because of it the game should be played quite a bit harder than usual.

The Patriots would love to go 19-0 and the Giants would love to bring the Patriots winning streak to an end.

Most odds makers have set the line at +12 for the Giants, which seems reasonable, and although I think the Pats will prevail I don't think they'll cover the spread.

The "Madden" electronic football game, by "Electronic Arts", has the New England Patriots beating the New York Giants 38-30 in a simulated game, so that falls in line with the bookies thinking. We'll soon know how accurate that prediction is.
