The Swedish government has approved the creation of a legal online poker site - to be run by State-Owned Svenska Spel - under a 2 year trial run. They're aiming to capture a third of the market in Sweden - in an industry that generates over $100 million profit

Of course, there will be some controls put in place - 18yr+ and marketing only in print and online - as well as player controls for limiting their own stakes

Government approved online poker, huh? Now there's a thought..
