The Swedish government has approved the creation of a legal online poker site – to be run by State-Owned Svenska Spel – under a 2 year trial run. They're aiming to capture a third of the market in Sweden – in an industry that generates over $100 million profit
Of course, there will be some controls put in place – 18yr+ and marketing only in print and online – as well as player controls for limiting their own stakes
