An Australian MP has called for a ban on kids 'pet' game, Tamagotchi (version 2) because it offers a 'pokies' style feature. If not a ban, then the MP wants an 'R' or adult rating for a game that usually attracts under 12's.

The game offers a slot machine game in which the player has to place a bet and play a slot game - causing the MP to be alarmed at the gambling connotations that could potentially cause addicts in the future
