
We haven't checked in with the popular world of online Poker in a while so it's time for a bit of a catch up.
The latest news on the battle to punish adult Americans for playing poker online comes from Massachusetts in the form of an asinine bill designed to levy not only fines but actual jail time for playing Internet Poker.
There's no doubt in my mind that the push behind this and similar attempts is being made by American gambling enterprises who want the money in their pockets. You can bet that there is no real moral issue being promoted here even though they may try to disguise the effort as such.
Despite these efforts by the United States, and now some State governments, to stymie Internet gambling, the games are going on and are more popular than ever.
The European Championships Of Online Poker will start on May 23; and if they're anything like last year's tournament it will be the scene of world-wide excitement.
