Its one of the most indulgent casino resorts in the world, sitting on 'paradise island' in the Bahamas and its about to come up against the might of Rome.

Atlantis Resort has always tried to maintain its total dominance of the Caribbean, but maybe not for much longer.

Harrahs have just announced they are planning to build the biggest casino in the Caribbean, under the recently purchased 'caesars' brand in the Bahamas - with a $1.6bn "resort metropolis" on Nassau's Cable Beach - thats a casino the size of 2 american football fields and 6 hotels - offering 3,550 rooms compared to atlantis' current 2,300 rooms

Its always worth another trip to the Caribbean in my opinion - research purposed only, of course
