Players try hand at online-poker jobIt seems like more and more stories in the press these days about online poker players turning 'pro' - and for the successful ones, the income it can bring is staggering.
"Nate Silver quit his $55,000-a-year financial consulting job in April to play poker. So far it's been a wise career move: The 26-year-old Silver expects to make more than $100,000 this year playing the card game, mainly on the Internetand
"Mike Kim, who lives in Chicago, said he plays online poker every day, sometimes for a couple of hours and sometimes for 12 hours straight. He said his average winnings are $15,000 a month"Whilst other semi-pro players are using internet poker sites as a way of earning additional income of $15,000-25,000 per year.
The stories are neverending - but ultimately, for every 'winner' in all this, there's going to be a loser - we'll probably hear some of those stories too in the future
