Once again, the greyness and lack of coherent online gaming laws in the US has caused confusion and Dispute between Foxwoods Casino and Conneticut.
Foxwoods were running an online promotion, Playaway, which the State of Conneticut deemed to be online gaming - a definite red-light in the state.
However, Foxwoods maintains that the game is not online gaming - neither does it take bets online nor can you actually play online - in fact, its a promotional keno game with pre-determined results.
So, despite taking the game offline this week, Foxwoods have decided to resume the promotion. However, Conneticut officials are still unconvinced and have threatened to take Foxwoods to federal court.
It all seems so petty.
