An interesting, but ultimately predictable summary of the current state of the online gambling market in the US, by the 'public policy and management' department at Wharton college.
The article summarises each issue that is currently holding back - or perhaps driving - the sector, largely concentrating on poker. Legalities, regulation and of course, social problems are all touched upon without really offering too many answers - although thats to be expected when discussing a country thats trying to stifle its potential via its archaic 'state' laws.
What is made clear, however, is that the US has to try to understand the industry better than it does now. Presently, the current reaction is based on scare-mongering and rumours without taking too much account of the empirical reality of an industry that is over 10 years old - a veteran of the Internet
