Gaming Guru Mark Pilarski, of the Casino City Times, has posted an email he received in which a screenplay writer asks what you call a person who can control the outcome of the dice they throw at the craps table. Pilarski points out that such a player is considered to have an arm but makes no real suggestion of a term one could use to describe a person with an arm. I'm sure some casino owners can think of a few names, most unprintable, but wouldn't a term from Backgammon fit the bill - a dice mechanic.
Is it possible to throw dice in such a way you can get them to land on any number, or even favour certain sides? I've tried and failed but it seems like a reasonable gimmick for a film.
