Casino manufacturer, Shuffle master, have acquired a pair of RFID patents that will allow them to design a system to insert "radio frequency identification (RFID)" technology into casino chips. This will allow them to track the chips throughout the casino.
By adding RFID-enabled chips to an "intelligent table system," which can monitor exact betting behavior, casinos will get a detailed view of how customers gamble. Better yet, it will allow casinos to track such information for just about any gambler, not just the high rollers.
