US Bill to Ban Online Gambling Hits a Hurdle
Filed in archive Gambling General on September 26, 2006
There is a huge rush to get the bill banning online gambling the US passed before the Senate takes a break at the end of the week. However, its hit a snag as Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John Warner stopped it from being attached to a defense bill that is currently going through.
However, Bill Frist, the Republican senator who is leading the bill is determined not to give up and is looking at other bills to attach it - such as a pending bill that increases port security against possible terrorists.
I could say something sarcastic here - but its just not worth it. The political juggling in the US is ludicrous.
